As Labour prepares for its first party conference since 14 years in power this weekend, Propertymark explained what it will do at such an event to influence policy.
According to the statement, the trade group seeks to promote the commitment and ethics of its members as well as highlight the research behind its various campaigns.
The company said the conference will allow Propertymark to meet new councillors and gain on-the-ground insight into the industry, as well as acquaint councillors with who Propertymark is and what it represents.
The group has also produced a new council information pack which includes consumer advice, information on landlord and agent forums and the current position on tackling empty properties and the licensing regime.
The Labour conference also provides an opportunity to continue the important dialogue with Ministers to create real and fair change within the industry.
Timothy Douglas, head of policy and campaigns at Propertymark, said: “The party conference will allow us to champion estate agents and their role, as well as present analysis of the whole property market and provide a clear picture of the current situation and the visible impacts of history.”
“We look forward to developing new Propertymark ambassadors, vocalising the efforts of our members and the industry as a whole, and continuing to work with the current UK Government to provide the public with fair, workable and evidence-based policy solutions for future reforms.”
