Rental developer Watkin Jones has announced that a major purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Bristol is nearing completion.
The 819-bed Metalworks PBSA scheme is being built for global investment firm KKR.
The system will be operated by Fresh, the Group's specialist accommodation management company.
The Metalworks scheme will provide a range of five to 12 bed cluster flats designed to provide students with modern living spaces.
The hotel offers easy access to the university campus and is a short walk from Bedminster train station and the city centre.
Watkins Jones said Bristol was running out of PBSA options. A company spokesman said: “Bristol continues to be a popular destination for students and Metalworks will not only provide much-needed high-quality housing, but will also strengthen the community by giving students access to safe, modern living spaces.”
“It also demonstrates our commitment to supporting Bristol’s growth and ensuring it remains an attractive choice for students as a place to live and learn.”
A Fresh spokesman added: “This is our third property in Bristol, where we have built a successful presence over many years. At Fresh, we are committed to providing an exceptional living experience for our residents and this development is a great example of that commitment.”
“With its modern facilities, location and thoughtful design, we are confident that we will be able to welcome students into Bedminster's vibrant community and meet the needs of Bristol's growing student population.”
