Beaufort Park is located within the North London area of ​​Colindale, primarily in the borough of Barnet, although its western edge crosses into Brent.

Beaufort Park itself is built on the site of the former Hendon Airfield. Many of Beaufort Park's streets and buildings are named after the area's aviation history, and the nearby Royal Air Force Museum also pays homage to the area's aviation heritage.
