Real estate company's microflat marketing comes under fire online

A “big cupboard” flat for sale near Brighton's seafront has attracted some humorous comments.

The studio apartment, located in a Regency building, is on the market for £160,000, £10,000 less than the original price of the property.

“Just seconds from the ocean,” the Zoopla's description, posted by agency Brand Vaughan, says. Nearby schools and their Ofsted ratings are listed.

“With a separate bathroom and cleverly designed with a mezzanine sleeping area and modern décor, you can easily get in and out quickly.

“This neat studio apartment is located in a popular area with plenty of local shops and right on the beach,” the description continues.

It has a mezzanine sleeping area, is open plan and has a kitchen and separate bathroom.

$160,000 for a large cupboard…I mean studio. ”

Yahoo News reported that some commenters on Reddit were less than impressed.

Two children on the sofa. A teenager is on the floor. Two short adults can sleep on the upper bunk…there's plenty of space. ”

Boleyn01 added: At least there's a couch for them to sleep on! The kids are short so they fit in there. ”

@AlGunner also said: It’s not just a cupboard, it also has a big shelf to sleep on,” said @Desperate_Leg8749. “Don't you have a floor plan? I think it's hard to imagine the layout of such an expansive pad without a pad.”
