Shepherd's Friendly has appointed Mark Myers as Chairman, effective January 1st.
Mr. Myers has 40 years of experience in financial services, including banking and insurance.
He has held senior positions in both public companies and mutual organizations, including Chief Executive of British Friendly and former Chairman of Direct Life and Pensions/LifeQuotes.
Mr. Myers also holds leadership positions with the Financial Mutual Companies Association and LV=, and serves on the board of Huntingdon Racecourse.
Myers' appointment comes as the mutual company launches an innovative five-year strategy and begins preparations to celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2026.
Mr Myers has been a non-executive director of the association since 2019 and replaces Nemone Wyn Evans, who will step down at the end of her agreed term.
