Barclays will become the latest lender and launch a sub-4% mortgage fee

Barclays has announced that it will cut prices across the home purchase and rimmot range, but some product charges are under 4%.

Residents can only purchase a 5-year fixed green home, with the £899 product fee being reduced from 4.13% to 3.99%.

Meanwhile, with a £999 fee on 60% LTV, only home buyer Revosier reduced its two-year fixed fee from 4.46% to 4.20%.

Lender's Purchase Amount (BTL) Limoot is fixed for only two years at a product price of £1,795 on 75% LTV.

Lenders will also introduce 5-year, fixed five-year home purchases at a rate of 3.99%. This comes with a 60% LTV product fee of £899, a minimum of £5,000 and a maximum loan of £2 million.

The change in rates at Barclays will take effect from February 13th.

At the beginning of today, Santander also announced that it will cut interest rates below 4% On a two- and five-year mortgage on February 13th.

The change has made Santander the first high street mortgage lender this year to offer a 4% rate.
