Hunter founder Kevin Hollinrake says that no real estate agent regulations are necessary and he opposes it.
Holyn Lake, now the shadow housing secretary of conservatives, claims that agents are already regulated and the new rules are expensive and enforce fees.
He also pointed out that Lord Best's Ropa proposal does not target landowners who manage 50% of Lettings Market.
I disagree with him as all agents have to take the course every year. ”
“I don't agree with him because all agents have to take the course every year… it costs several hundred pounds per person,” he says.
Hollinrake says the Real Estate Agents Act of 1979, the agent's consumer regulations and relief schemes are enough. Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook said Lopa would be enacted under the labor government.
New Lead
In an interview with Hortons' Adam Horton and the Agent Journal (see main photo), Hollinrake warns agents that it's not enough to generate new leads.
“They don't spend enough time creating new opportunities and leading new reviews and viewing,” he says.
I almost went to my bust
And he revealed that Hunter was founded in 1992 and soon approached. He said the business has gone through a very rocky era as a result of Black Wednesday.
“We really thought we were going to go bust. To be honest, we rarely survived that winter,” he says.
Some checks bounced back when things got to the worst, he says, but the business went through those difficult times and developed resilience as a result of the problems.
