The Cambridge Building Society has withdrawn application fees across all mortgage products and has increased the loan size for selected transactions.
Common says that previously non-refundable advance application fees were removed from all homes and repurchase loans, leaving the offer with a completion fee.
The borrower may choose to pay this fee upon completion or add it to the loan. This move will take place soon.
Lenders have increased the maximum loan sizes for all standard BTL, Expat and Holiday-Let products from £750,000 to £1 million.
“We've seen a lot of effort into making our products more accessible,” said Dan Barker, product and proposal manager for Cambridge Building Society.
“It makes things smoother and easier for both customers and intermediaries to place cases in Cambridge for both customers and intermediaries to remove prepaid application fees.”
