Lumin Wealth acquires the mortgage division of RBS Associates

Lumin Wealth has announced the acquisition of RBS Associates' mortgage division.

The move followed the partnership between Lumin Wealth and Davidson Deem in June 2023, expanding its services to include investments, pensions, inheritance and tax plans, and mortgage advice along with financial protection for businesses and families.

RBS Associates partner Mark Spurling brings over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry and will join Lumin Wealth along with manager Amy Spurling and personal assistant Sally Jarvis.

“We've been working hard to get into the world,” said Brian Keane, director of Davidson Deem. “I am excited to have Mark and his colleagues on board and look forward to working closely with him to ensure a smooth transition as he moves towards retirement.

“A team of experienced 11 members is well suited to supporting RBS Associates' mortgage clients. Mark's personalized approach is perfectly in line with our values.”

Mark Sparring expressed satisfaction with the move, considered Davidson, describing Lamin's wealth as a natural fit.

“Their values and expertise allow us to enhance the services we provide to our clients. We believe this partnership will provide the ideal long-term home for mortgage clients,” he said.

In February, Lumin Wealth acquired Professional Financial Center, an independent Berkshire-based financial advice company.

This added more than £50 million under management assets to Lumin VZ Group, marking its ninth acquisition since 2019.
