The biggest and most spectacular sale of the year takes place every year on the last weekend of November, this year on November 29th.

The confetti cannons will keep firing all weekend, culminating with Cyber Monday, when deals on all sorts of tech products will be available, including headphones, laptops, TVs, cameras, smartwatches and more.

Why is it called Black Friday?
American imports began in the middle of the last century, when retailers would hold huge sales after Thanksgiving in the hopes of drawing families in with heavily discounted goods. The idea caught on across the Atlantic – who doesn't love a bargain? – and Black Friday has now become a much-anticipated shopping event for British bargain hunters.
