“Between New Barnet, Cockfosters and Southgate, East Barnet is proving to be an attractive area for families and city center commuters,” said Foxtons’ Barnet office. Sales Manager Ben Connolly explains. “The enviable combination of abundant green space, large-scale housing, excellent schools and affordable prices make it an excellent choice for a true 'village' feel.

“One-bedroom flats cost between £250,000 and £300,000, while two-bedroom homes often cost between £325,000 and £400,000. Three-bedroom homes You'll need to pay between £500,000 and £600,000, but for properties with four or more bedrooms, prices can exceed £650,000.

There are many large, lush parks around East Burnett. Brunswick Park is located towards the South Burnett and includes Pimms Brook, which flows through Pimms Park to Arnos Grove towards Bunbury Reservoir. Just north of this area, the expansive Trent Park is home to natural wildflower meadows and the Go Ape Adventure Center, which features an arboreal high ropes course and ziplines.

Oak Hill Park (below) hosts a variety of festivals and events, including an outdoor performance of “A Midsummer Night's Dream” in August. The annual East Burnett Festival is also held at the park (see 'Local Highlights' below).

The area is well served by bus routes, providing easy access to Finchley, Turnpike Lane, Brent Cross and Cockfosters. The new Barnet overground service runs south through Finsbury Park to Moorgate, with the Piccadilly line accessed from Cockfosters station to the east of Barnet. The Northern Line departs from nearby High Barnet Station and runs through Camden for quick links to central London.

The East Burnett Festival has been running for the past 24 years and will be held from 5th to 7th July in 2019. The event will feature music, dance, theater and sport, as well as a variety of stalls from local traders and businesses.
