A landlord and letting agent have been ordered to pay back a total of £10,560 in rent after illegally evicting and harassing a tenant.
Kieran David Parker returned to his flat in Lambeth, London, late one night, the locks changed and his belongings later dumped outside the front door.
He attempts to contact his agent, Extra Link Ltd, and his landlord, Li Li (also known as Li Xu and Crystal Lin), and is forced to “couch surf” for several months before finding somewhere else to live. Ta.

Parker was not issued with an eviction notice and applied for a rent repayment order based on his unlawful eviction from his flat in Coverley Point, Tyers Street (pictured).
The Residential Property Tribunal has now ordered the agent and landlord to repay Parker one year's rent, amounting to £10,560.

Parker claimed that he was sexually harassed by an Extralink employee, Jasmine Sun, who allegedly demanded sex in return for a reduction in rent. He denied the incident and reported it to the police.
The court considers the respondent's conduct to be of the most serious and reprehensible nature. ”
Judge Lorna Tagliavini said in her judgment:
“The court is satisfied that the first, second and third respondents harassed and unlawfully evicted the applicant.”
The judge said Parker was entitled to recover a maximum rent of £880 per month, totaling £10,560, which must be paid within 14 days.
