Acorn, a lessee's right group, took up the pensioner who refused to leave after she was evacuated from home after her AST was over.
The 80 -year -old Torina was signed a 12 -month AST contract with a local wristing agency Homber Holmes at his home in Kaan Court in North Drive, Brighton in December 2023.
At the end of the tenant, the landlord wanted to regain the property, so she refused to leave and was issued in a section 21.
She told the Brighton Argus newspaper as follows:
However, she gave her a more time to find a new house, so she was able to stay on Christmas.
Banner and leaflet
Despite the concession, Acorn took up her lawsuit and protested outside the Hannover Holmes office armed with banner and leaflet.
HANOVER HOMES spokesman tells NEG:
“Acorn has decided to protest, but we can't control the landlord's ownership decisions and only provide paid services.
“We are working hard to guarantee that we are completely compliant, and our property is fully maintained, so we are targeted to fulfill the wish of the landlord. I am disappointed.
They believe they can hide behind an anonymous desk and escape. “
Acorn Branch's organizer Toby Sedgwick tells The Argus as follows:
“We believe they can hide behind an anonymous desk and escape. We are people, we are human. We have the right to home.”
