Legal & General has launched a digital partnership with Conveyancing Panel Manager Movin Legal. This allows brokers to order real estate surveys at the time of instruction.
Designed by L&G Surveying Services, Digital Home Survey directs RICS-certified surveyors to conduct real estate inspections to assess areas such as roofs, walls, moisture, and wood.
This report, usually delivered within 48 hours, allows home buyers to talk to surveyors before and after inspections.
The company added that home buyers can share the survey with builders.
L&G Mortgage Services Distribution and Mortgage Club Clare Beardmore (pictured) said: A useful experience for brokers and their customers. ”
Lyndon Whistance, executive director of Movin Legal Chief, added:
The move comes after the Ministry of Housing, communities and local governments said earlier this week that they would use more digital services to speed up household chores.
The department will pilot a 12-week digital home buying project. “We will identify the design and implementation of agreed rules regarding data for this sector, making it easy to share between carriers, lenders and other parties involved in the transaction.”
The ministry points to the introduction of digital home viewing services in Norway. This helps the country cut down on completed transactions to about a month, usually taking 5-6 months in the UK.
