Agent sets up a fee petition and then hits right move for “daytime robbery”

Independent real estate agent Sean Adams has accused the latest fee hikes of “bullying” and “Sunlight robbery” on the right.

Adams has set up a petition seeking investigation by the Competition and Markets Agency (CMA) regarding the portal's charging policy.

The petition has already collected hundreds of signatures, and Adams hopes the CMA will sit down and pay attention.

Hit hard

As co-founder of West Sussex's three-branch Cooper Adams Agency, he has seen how agents have been hit hard over the past few years.

Speaking to Neg, he said: Rising wage costs are putting more pressure on them, and many businesses say they have to let people go. ”

For some agents, it's another nail in the co. ”

Right Maube is currently increasing its fees by 18%, he says, “in a stupid amount,” which is “unethical.”

“For some agents, it's another claw in the co. If inflation rises by 2.5%, 5% is fair, but 18% is a robbery in the sun.”

Adams says RightMove does a good job and describes the portal as “reliable and very consistent”, but the price structure makes it a big chain of agency that can negotiate agent discounts I support it.

Bullying

He condemns “rightmove deals with independent agents.”

Rightmove offers to meet Adams to discuss his fees, but he says it makes no sense unless he's ready to talk about charging hikes.

Neg is approaching his right body for a comment.
