One Family Group has appointed Clearsmith as head of distribution operations for life insurance brand Beagle Street.
In her new role, Smith will play an important role in shaping how one family engages with intermediaries and supporting the growth of groups in conservation spaces. 
She joined the family following a 12-year tenure at AIG Life, where she played a senior role in both interim sales and operations. She spent nine years building and growing a telephone sales team, going from conservation consultant to head of mediation support. Over the past three years, she has led AIG's individual protective customer operations and oversees the underwriting, billing and customer service team.
Prior to that, Smith worked at the monastery for mediation and partnerships, gaining extensive experience in mortgages and pensions.
